I just received the Welcome Kit for the SCJP which I completed last month. Similar to the Microsoft welcome kits, it contained the signed certificate, welcome letter and also the wallet card.
My request for the SCJP logo was also approved and I have downloaded it. But it is in eps format. I have to convert it into either gif of jpg format and will upload it in my certification page once it is done.
Can any one suggest me a tool which would convert files from eps format to either gif or jpg?
Update (Jan 13 2007) : Finally I converted the logo file from eps format to gif format using Photoshop and updated my certification page.
Hi, try GIMP. If that doesn’t work, theres another s/w called “Total Image Converter”.
Is there any wordpress plugin that allows you to import specific posts from blogger?
@Aswin,
Will surely try them and let you know.
There is no need for any such plugin. The default install of WordPress itself has the feature to import your blog from blogger.
BTW are you looking to migrate to wordpress?
Cheers,
Sudar
Well, you must be knowing of the Indian govt. banning access to all blogs on blogspot, typepad and many other sites.
There are lots of free PHP hosting available. So planning to install wordpress there and continue (in case the ban isnt lifted).

Well Aswin, it seems the Indian Govt. has finally lifted the ban. But I strongly recommended you to consider migrating to wordpress.

EPS? Have we all forgotten almighty Photoshop?
I too would love to move to my own domain, but ofcourse you know the problems:D Hope I can somehow convince Dad through some useless Marks to dole out that 3K a year for own Hosting+Domain. Then maybe I could continue off Adsense….
Just thought about asking, why did you choose the longer URL http://sudarmuthu.com/blog rather than the more memorable http://blog.sudarmuthu.com ?
Well Yuvi,
It’s not that I have forgotten Photoshop but I am lazy to install it just to convert one file.
I wanted to maintain all my stats in the same domain itself that’s why I selected the longer http://sudarmuthu.com/blog/ url rather than a subdomain.

Dude,
Why haven’t u posted the SCJP logo in the certifications page ? And why haven’t you uploaded your certificate onto here ?
Cheers,
Rajiv
Hi Rajiv,
Just one reason. No time 🙁
More has become very hectic these days.
Will try to upload them as soon as possible.

Did you disable Akismet or something?
Yuvi,
I haven’t disabled Akismet, but these spam comments have some how escaped the radar. I guess even a average person may find it difficult to recognize them as spam, No links, no website links embedded in name expect being somewhat vague. 😉 I guess some one out there are trying new things with their bots. 🙂

Sudar
