How do I do this? I have searched Google and some stuff about the cron syntax, but can’t find a solution. I use “Crontrol” as a WP plugin so I could enter it quite conveniently – if I only know, how.
I love Disqus but unfortunately, “reactions” are currently not working on my most recent website (LindaSherman.me). Tweetbacks was suggested to me as a resolution. I see Tweetbacks hasn’t been updated in years but your Helper is new. I am not attempting the manual cron for now – will it still work if the tweetbacks scheduler is enabled?
I also found Yoast’s implementation for Tweetbacks which I have not attempted since it addresses a very different version of WordPress. Note: of course I completely respect Yoast. http://yoast.com/implementing-tweetbacks-wordpress-27/
I added you to my Twitter list for WordPress.
Thank you for your contributions to the community!
Yes, it should work if the tweetbacks scheduler is enabled. I contacted the original author Yoast lot of times and offered to provide updates to his Plugin but didn’t get any reply from him.
I am also currently working on a Plugin which will be very robust in retrieving the reactions from twitter. It is in the final stages of development. I will release it once I am done.
Hi,
first of all thanks for your plugin. I think it’s great.
Nevertheless I have a problem. In your plugin’s backend you write
“For manual cron scheduler to work, you should ping the following url from your crontab.
http://mydomain/wp-content/plugins/tweetbacks-helper/cron.php”

Kind regards,
P.S. I use WP 3.0.5
@Mark,
You can follow the steps from the following tutorial to setup manual cron in your server. http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/article/12176.html

Just curios if this plugin and the original Tweetbacks plugin are still working?
Actually not. I am working on a new Plugin to fix it.
