Post to FriendFeed is a WordPress Plugin which will allow you to post excerpts from your blog posts as a message in FriendFeed with images. By default FriendFeed posts them without images and this Plugin overcomes this issue.
I created this Plugin after seeing a discussion at FriendFeed where Thomas Hawk was tossing around the idea of dropping his blog feed from his FriendFeed profile.
In addition to the Pluign, I have also created a simple online interface for people who don’t use WordPress.
Download
You can download the Plugin as a zip file. from the official WordPress Plugin repository.
Installation
Extract the zip file and just drop the contents in the wp-content/plugins/ directory of your WordPress installation and then activate the Plugin from Plugins page. You have to enter the FriendFeed nickname and API key in the settings page.
Also note that this Plugin needs FriendFeed API Core Plugin to be installed.

I’m getting the following error whenever I publish a post. I’m currently using WordPress 2.7 and am hosted on MediaTemple.:
Fatal error: Class ‘SM_FriendFeed’ not found in /nfs/c01/h03/mnt/32603/domains/theosmblog.com/html/wp-content/plugins/post2ff/post2ff.php on line 32
@Jason,
I guess the Plugin is not yet compatiable with WordPress 2.7. I will have a look at it and will let you know.
Is it possibly to have the friendfeed message posts use a short url service like bit.ly or tr.im so I can track clicks per message?
@Jacob,
Right now it is not possible. But I am working on making the permalink pluggable, so that you can use any short url service, before it is posted to FriendFeed. Should be able to release it in a couple of days.
Hi,
I’m installed post2ff at my blog, obtained my key and nickname but my blog posts aren’t posting. Any tips?
Works great, thank you
This still isn’t working for me. I am running WordPress version 2.8.4, FriendFeed Api Core version 0.1, and Post to FriendFeed version 1.0. My post shows up in FriendFeed but there are is no photo and no comment. Any ideas how to fix this?
Can I have the url of your blog?
http://www.skylercall.com (or click on my name above)
hey dude.. great post..thanks
Great work! I’m putting this to use immediately. I’m looking forward to future versions!
Any change this will be updated to work with WordPress 3.0? I get the following error when I try to post:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function apply_filter() in /var/www/www.jasonhuebel.name/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/post-to-friendfeed/post-to-friendfeed.php on line 59
Thanks!

Jason,
The Plugin is compatible with WordPress 3.0
Have you installed the Friendfeed API Core Plugin also?
Sudar,
I’m running Wordpess 3.0 and have the FF API core installed. Post2FF and API CORE are activated. I’ve entered my username and remote key. So I’m not sure what else it could be. Anything I can do to help track down the problem?
When are you getting this error? Just after installing the Plugin or while posting to Friendfeed?
Also how did you updated your WordPress to 3.0. For some people, the update didn’t update all files and were facing a similar problem.
I get it when I try to post. The plugins install, activate and configure without a problem.
Regarding updating to WP 3.0, this is a clean install. I didn’t upgrade anything.
Same problem here.
I have FF API core installed.
The error pops out when I press Publish.
The post is published on my blog despite the error.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.
i got the same problem when publishing a new post, though the post was successfully plublished the error still occurs in line 59. I am using wp version 3.0.5. is there any update on this problem? please let me know thanks
